TECHNOLOGY

5g researchers achieve record speed Record –breaking speeds have been achieved during tests of 5G data connections, scientists have said. Researchers in the university of Surrey’s 5G innovation centre managed one terabit per second (Tbps) which is many thousands of times faster than current data connections. The head of the 5GIC said he hoped to demonstrate the technology to the public in 2018. Ofcom has said 5G could be available in Britain by 2020. At 1Tbps, it would be theoretically be possible to download a file 100 times the size of a feature film in about 3 seconds. The speed is more than 65,000 times faster than the average 4G download speeds. According to news website V3, 5GIC director prof Rahim Tafazoli said: “we have developed 10 more breakthrough technologies and one of them means we can exceed 1Tbps wirelessly. This is the same capacity as fibreoptics but we are doing it wirelessly” (BBC NEWS).
UNIVERSITY STUDENTS RIOT OVER INSECURITY A large congregation of students gathering at the student’s center with all sorts of   sounds “we want VC”   “we want ….VC” tone repeats as it gains power progressively. The students join hands to mourn the demise of a fellow comrade who was found dead at a place near Mbiyo residential. As time ticks the crowd was becoming large that the students’ leaders had to come out and sort out the issue before it worsens. “The security issue will be sorted out as soon as possible” a comment left by Guyo a representative in the security docket. As if he had said nothing but a fruitless comment, the heat goes from bad to worse. What were their expectations then?. “We go we go” “we go we go”……where were they going, to the administration block to meet with the vice chancellor.   The students who termed themselves as comrades matched towards the administration screaming and raising theirs “flags” stems with leafs. Lecturers and workers who owned...
UNIVERSITY STUDENTS, "WE MUST PAY LESS TO TRAVEL". by matt son sang Moi university students yesterday demanded that they must pay less fare from moi university to and from Eldoret town and even to other parts of the country. This was due to the reports of drastic decrease of petrol and diesel prices. Speaking at homeboyz kinyozi in Moi university wanyoike said the matatu owners are taking the issue lightly and are silently peeping into our wallets taking advantage of the innocence of the students. "we must not allow them to take advantage of the situation, if we must protest we will". villagers joined hands with the students and made a  decision that they must pay at most ksh50 for the buses and ksh70 for the "matatus". following the decrease of fuel prices from ksh114 to ksh85,prices should be reduced as it has  been the same case in other parts of the country, some parts have cut down their prices as from ksh950 to ksh750 hence it must take effect as soo...

Moi university students school of information sciences demand for a field trip .     By Matt son sang Students in the school of information sciences on Monday made a decision to take action against the failure of the school administration to communicate to them about the field trips they are supposed to go in second and fourth years of study. “We paid the money since we started our first year and we don’t see any reason why they keep silent on the issue” Kevin, one of the 3 rd year students said. According to the school curriculum students have to go for a field trip in second year and third year something that had been ignored for the past few years unless the students demand for it is when action is taken this makes the students lose trust in the administration and the students’ leaders the students claimed. THE RED COLOR.

why RED RED RED for Love. before asking yourself why RED color is used to symbolize love, ask yourself the following questions: 1. why is it that they use red color when going for funerals? 2. why is it that they use the red carpet for special persons? 3. why is it that the color of your blood is red. 4. why is it that you use a red pen to indicate titles and important points in your notebook? 5. why is it that most children like red color? 6. why is it that the red color appears first in the rainbow? Who is in the safe side.

It has reached the extreme point where Kenyans have to think twice. We can't imagine our lives in a country where security officers, bodyguards, bouncers who are there to protect the country need also to be protected. Security is becoming a big issue in Kenya. We lost kabete mp in amidst of his bodyguards, gunned down with his guards. What is likely to happen to the poor Kenyan?. It is time that Kenyans should put aside political differences and come together and fight the enemy. Unity is power and division is the real enemy of power. The only way to curb Insecurity in kenya is by working together as Kenyans and not as jubilee or Cord. We can make it if only we adhere to the principle "it begins from you and me" every Kenyan should stand to defend the person next to him/her. Leaders on the other hand should come together and lead as an example knowing that Kenyans look upon them. Ethiopia is a country bordering Kenya but insecurity is not an issue to them, reason being th...
